Flowers For Your Guns

Flowers For Your Guns is dedicated to Neda Agha-Soltan and all those who have died and struggled for democracy in Iran. This video is being released on Irans Annual Students Day, 16 Azar or December 7, which commemorates the 1953 killing of three university students by government officials. The youth of Iran are speaking, supported by millions around the world, for a new system in Iran, where human rights are respected, and where religion and politics are separate. The Islamic Revolution failed when it turned against its own people. With the death of peaceful protesters, the Iranian Government inflicted a fatal poison on itself and it is now dying.

Not Without My Zari

"not without my Zari" is a short film made by collaboration of two Iranian artists in diaspora, Shagha Ariannia, a painter and video artist, and Leila Farjami, a poet and writer. This film is an uncomplicated narrative of many clouded yearnings towards one's birthplace and the tumults and challenges of bearing vague bundles of one's cultural heritage as an immigrant. "not without my Zari" is a brief tale of an unreciprocated longing for the "other" regardless of how illusory or unattainable.
