Community Printmaking Sessions with Holly Jerger
Adult Art Workshop
6:30 - 9:30pm
Cost per session: $20/$15 CAFAM Members
Are you interested in printmaking but need a space to work? Whether you are a
novice or expert printer, join other like-minded adults for our printmaking sessions
that offer space, basic supplies, and casual instruction. Materials for various relief
printing processes, collograph, and monotype are on hand. A small etching press and
letterpress are also available for use. For ages 17 years + up.

Lunchtime Gallery Talks with Sasha Ali

Take a break from your workday and join CAFAM Exhibitions Coordinator Sasha Ali for
a deeper look at works in our Máximo González: Playful exhibition. Each week, Sasha
will highlight one work from the exhibition for a brief group discussion.

Etsy Craft Night: Kindle Keepers
Led by Lisa Occhipinti

In the CAFAM Courtyard
Bring in your favorite, old book and artist Lisa Occhipinti, author of The Repurposed
Library, will show you how to transform it into an old-fashioned cover for your new-
fangled Kindle, Nook, or Ipad. The book must be HARDCOVER and about the

Powerful Posters
A CraftLab Workshop: Fun for everyone!
Drop in between 1:30 - 3:30pm
$5 per participant/ CAFAM Members FREE
Be inspired by the bold colors, text, and ideas in our Deconstructing Perestroika
exhibition and design hand-painted posters about issues you care about. You’ll combine
paint, vinyl letters, cardboard, and other materials into images that get people’s
attention.

Out of Bounds: Book Assemblage with Lisa Occhipinti
Adult Art Workshop
1:00 – 5:00pm
$65/$55 CAFAM members
Bibliophiles and artists alike will enjoy this workshop exploring the book as an artistic
medium. By taking prompts from the book you are using (title, subject, passage,
illustration, etc.) you will transform it into a new work of art using painting, collage, and
other techniques. Please bring in one HARDCOVER book to use and all other materials
will be supplied.

My Perestroika tells the stories of five Moscow schoolmates — from their sheltered
Soviet childhood, to the collapse of the Soviet Union during their teenage years, to
the constantly shifting political landscape of post-Soviet Russia. Through candid first-
 
person testimony, revealing verité footage, and vintage home movies, the film reveals a
