After a sold out East Coast Tour to New York, Washington, D.C, and Philadelphia, LEVYdance will be making it's Los Angeles debut at the Henry Fonda Theater in Hollywood on April 1st, 2009. The company will be bringing four exciting new works performed by its "fresh-faced, chiseled dancers with the urban cool of club kids" --San Francisco Chronicle.

The program will consist of Physics, wake, Cirrus and Nu Nu. Physics uses a high level of athleticism to explore phenomena such as inertia, gravity, and centrifugal force, and how they relate to the human body. The piece is performed to a commissioned score by renowned DJ and electronica composer, Mason Bates. wake is an intimate duet that uses a limited physical vocabulary to communicate the intricacies of human interaction. Cirrus, set to a mix of early and contemporary music, explores the intersection between the divine and mundane. Nu Nu is a pop dance explosion in mesh tops, tiger-striped unitards, and leg warmers. “Nu Nu’s fast-paced mix of clowning, glamour-puss posing, and blossoming and breaking relationships was clever, smartly paced, and unpretentious.”— San Francisco Bay Guardian.
