Internationally acclaimed Persian Sufi dancer and teacher, Banafsheh communicates the universal message of Persian mysticism in a passionate yet quietly intuitive way, an interplay between trance and mindful movement. Banafsheh draws from Persian dance, Sufi ritual, Flamenco, Tai Chi & Eastern philosophy to uncover a form that is both healing and original, yet based in tradition. With an MFA in Dance & an MA in Chinese Medicine, she teaches & performs her award- winning work throughout the world.
