Special effects master Gabe Bartalos sits down for a rare in-person conversation with legendary artist Matthew Barney at the Carpenter Performing Arts Center. Join us for an unforgettable evening as these two share their insights on special effects on such films as the Cremaster Cycle (1995-2002), giving voice to their thoughts, processes, and motivations.  Prior to the event is the opening of the University Art Museum, CSULB’s fall exhibition Gabe Bartalos: Abhorrence and Obsession on September 7, 2013 from 6pm to 8pm, this exhibition showcases over twenty years of Bartalos’ special effects career.
